      File guide

      Files that cut first time.

      • DXF, drawn 1:1 in millimetresInches are fine if the file says so. We show you the size we read, so check it.
      • Closed outlines onlyEvery part is a closed loop. Gaps and overlaps become open cuts or double cuts.
      • Convert text to outlinesText objects are ignored. Explode them to curves in your CAD.
      • Holes at least the material thicknessSmaller holes are possible but burr. Slots and webs: at least 1× thickness.
      • Allow for the kerf0.2 mm. Draw the finished size; we cut on the correct side of the line.
      • One file, many partsPut all parts for one material and thickness in one file. Set quantity per file.

      Questions

I only have a sketch or a PDF.

Send it with the request form, or email it. We draw it up at a small fee and send you the DXF to approve, then the quote.

Can I bring my own material?

Yes. Tick the box in the quote tool. We inspect it for flatness and grade when it arrives. Painted, galvanised or badly rusted sheet may not cut cleanly.

      How long does it take?

Standard is 5 business days from go-ahead. Rush is 2, if the machine has capacity. We tell you the date when you order, not after.

      Do you do finishing?

Bending, countersinking, abrasive blasting, epoxy and automotive paint, and galvanising. Add them in the quote tool or ask.

      How do I pay?

Bank transfer to Royal Bank of Canada, or card. Jobs over BBD 2,000 start with a 50% deposit. Trade customers can set up an account and order on a PO.

      Is my design kept private?

Yes. Files are stored only to make your parts and are never shared or reused.
